SP #036: Can your content sprint?
Welcome to the 36th edition of Solo Pursuits, a helpful weekly newsletter for solopreneurs and founders!
It’s the start of a new week in January and you can bet your girl is already a bit tired circling back and catching up lol. I’m focusing on keeping my SEO clients happy, ramping up marketing tasks like content creation, and crossing any leftover December tasks off the to-do list. Just for fun, put on a fake smile and say this next bit out loud: I’m gonna have a good week! There’s actually science behind this.
Here’s some solopreneur-specific news you might’ve missed (lots of launches):
OpenAI launched their GPT Store to paid subscribers. Since the ability to create GPTs was enabled 2 months ago, more than 3 million GPTs are now live. There are tons that can help solopreneurs if you’re interested! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, get an introduction to GPTs here. (link)
Twitter/X launched the ability to target only premium subscribers with ads. If your ideal clients or customers are active on Twitter/X, then consider testing some ads there. You already know that premium subscribers have money. (link)
Microsoft launched AI-powered Office features to everyone. It’s a $20 USD/month subscription you can purchase with or without already having a Microsoft 365 Personal or Home subscription. If you’re an avid Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or outlook.com user, you’d probably love this! (link)
Now, onto this week’s tips, tricks, and resources!
Start the year with momentum and schedule a content sprint.
What’s a content sprint, you ask?
It’s when you choose a platform (Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and publish one piece of content there every day for a pre-determined period of time (typically 30 or 60 days).
Why do this?
Builds your audience/community/following faster
Builds your brand faster
Allows you to reach a large amount of people in as short of time as possible
Allows you to quickly test what types of content resonate the most
Who’s done this and been successful?
Dickie Bush, who published 30 Twitter/X threads in 30 days. This directly led to building a 6-figure business (and other businesses since).
Alex Garcia, who published 50 Twitter/X threads in 50 days. This grew his now 6-figure newsletter to almost 9,000 subscribers in less than 2 months.
Now, I know these examples were both done on Twitter/X, but the 4 main benefits of content sprints mentioned above apply to any social media platform! Of course each platform’s algorithms are different, so keep in mind your results will vary.
Be inclusive, but focused.

You might be worrying about going too niche or too narrow, but there's a difference between excluding a part of your audience and not creating something just for them.
Like Chrissy's events and classes are open to all, but they're not really designed to attract young hetero men.
When you’re developing an offer (a service, program, digital product, etc.), it’s helpful to think about exactly who in your audience would get the most value from it and then try your best to make sure it’s designed to attract them.
